Accepted Items
Below is a partial list of what you can sell. If you have an item that isn’t on the list, chances are you can sell it at the sale if it is in good condition and is used by babies, children, pregnant or nursing moms. Please, feel free to email us at info@capekidstreasures.com should you have any questions about what you can or cannot sell.
All items MUST be cleaned and checked for safety recall prior to consignment. (Check for recalls at www.cpsc.gov)
Effective Sep. 2019 and moving forward: We will be limiting each consignor to 25 items in each size category Newborn through 12 months for boys and girls (25 boy items and 25 girl items).
The size categories are:
- 0-3 mos. (includes preemie, newborn, 0-3 mos., 3 mos.)
3-6 mos. (includes 3-6 mo., 6 mos.)
6-12 mos. (includes 6-9 mos., 6-12 mos., 9 mos., 12 mos.)
Updated for Spring 2023- We will be limiting the following:
- Shoes– limited to 15 pairs total per consignor
- Teen clothing– limited to 25 pieces per consignor in sizes XS- XL for boys and girls (25 boy items and 25 girl items). This applies to sizes beyond children’s size 16. Consignors can ask for a limit increase based on successful previous selling history. Limit increase must be approved before Drop off.
- Bedding– limited to sheets, blankets and sleeping bags. We will no longer accept bedding sets, comforters and quilts.
- Books– limited to 50 per consignor. Can request a bump to 100 for previous consignor with successful previous selling history.

- Bedding sets, comforters, quilts
Items We Do NOT Accept
- Any item that has been safety recalled – (www.cpsc.gov)
- Car seats or booster seats
- Cribs (manufactured before June 2012 or recalled)
- Crib mattresses (it is illegal to sell these in Massachusetts)
- Baby equipment that is not clean
- Used pacifiers, bottles, cups, spoons or other feeding accessories
- Baby teether toys (unless new in package)
- Used hair ornaments (headbands, barrettes, etc.)
- Any underwear or socks that are not brand new
- Opened personal care products such as baby powder, soaps, lotions, etc.
- Any item that is stained, torn, extremely worn, out of date, smells of smoke or contains pet hair
- Items with missing buttons, broken zippers or lost parts
- Perishable items
- Stuffed animals or Beanie babies
- Any inflatable items that are not new (pool floats, etc.)
- Battery operated toys without batteries
- Bedding(except for blankets, sleeping bags)
- Bags of loose toys unless theme oriented (i.e. bags of all army toys, all Barbie toys, etc.)
- Jewelry – due to the number of recalls, this also includes children’s jewelry
- Magazines
- Adult clothing- misses or men’s clothing
- Toys from fast food restaurants
- VHS tapes
- Homemade clothing, including knitted baby clothing and hats
