How to Consign

Step 1: Sign Up

All consignors register online to become a consignor with us. Your information will be retained for future sales.

Click on the “Register” button to sign-up:

  • Login or create a new account.
  • You will then be directed to PayPal to pay the $15.00 non-refundable registration fee.

Item Entry Deadline: For our SPRING 2024 Sales: Hyannis Sale, the item entry deadline is: Sunday, March 3 at 11:00 pm. Falmouth Sale, the item entry deadline is Sunday, March 31 at 11:00 pm. You will not be able to register or enter items after our item entry deadline. You will however, be able to print your tags and view your inventory for items already entered.

Step 2: Prepare Items

Gather Items
Simply gather the items you’d like to sell, then use our automated system to enter your items online and print your barcoded tags. All items must be tagged using our barcode system. All tags MUST be printed on white card stock in order for the barcode to be read.

Check Guidelines
We ask consignors to read our accepted items, tagging and pricing guidelines prior to preparing items. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about pricing or preparation of an item(s). Cape Kids’ Treasures reserves the right to refuse any item during drop-off or remove any item(s) from the sales floor that do not meet our standards. Any item pulled for this reason may be returned to you at the end of the sale or disposed of, if marked for donation.

Checking Items for Recalls
Cape Kids’ Treasures strives to offer only the best items at our consignment sales. Our policy is to not sell recalled or unsafe items.  Therefore, it is the responsibility of our consignors to make sure that all of their items have not been recalled.
Please check ALL items for recalls, including toys and bikes. We offer a full refund to any shopper who purchases an item that was part of a recall prior to the date of purchase at our sale. Since our tagging system allows us to track items, any consigned item that is returned for recall will be deducted from the consignors check and the item disposed of to insure it is not passed on to another child. Items can be checked for recalls at or (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission).

Step 3: Drop Off

Login to your Consignor account and sign up for one of our designated drop-off appointments. Appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes (12:00pm; 12:20pm; 12:40pm; etc.) during the designated drop-off hours. Consignors only need ONE appointment time for drop off unless you are making two trips. Then you can sign up for multiple drop off appointments that meet your schedule.

Bring your items tagged, hung on hangers and please group your clothes by size and gender prior to drop-off.

*NEW for 2022- After inspection, Consignors are responsible for placing items on the sales floor. We have new, increase signage to make it super easy to put your items away.

During Drop-Off, we will:

  • Confirm that you have been registered.
  • Inspect clothing and equipment for quality and condition.
  • Check to make sure tags comply with instructions and are properly attached.
  • Remind you about the links for FREE sign up for Consignor Presale and Friends of Consignors Presale to invite friends!
  • Direct Consignors to appropriate areas to put your items on the sales floor.

Please be prepared to assemble or bring assembled any large items (high chairs, playhouses, pack ‘n plays, etc.).

Step 4: Shop & Get Paid

Shop Early
As a consignor, you are invited to attend the Consignor Pre-Sale, which allows you to shop EARLY!  That’s one great perk to consigning! Online link will be provided for FREE sign up to attend Consignor Presale and Friends of Consignors Presale to invite friends!
Bring a friend to the Consignor Pre-Sale! We simply ask your friend for a $5.00 at the door. All donations will go to A Baby Center.

You can invite 5 more friends to the Friends of Consignors Presale on the following day.

Pick up or Donate
You choose if you want your items included in our Half-Price Sale. Pick up any unsold items during our designated pick up times or choose to donate them to charity.
Please note: Any unsold/unclaimed items are donated to a charity. Cape Kids’ Treasures will never keep any unsold items marked for donation.

Your sales percentage will be calculated and your check or direct deposit will be sent within 14 days from our sale date.
