Team Members

Team Members are Consignors who choose to help during the Sale for an extra percentage of their sales and a VIP Presale Shopping Pass!

1 Shift

Receive 65% of your sales and
a Team Member VIP Presale Pass.

2 Shifts

Receive 70% of your sales and
a Team Member VIP Presale Pass.

3 Shifts

Receive 75% of your sales and
a Team Member VIP Presale Pass.

We do have a limited number of team member shifts available, but we will make every effort to find a shift for a consignor who wants to help and take advantage of our team member benefits. Multiple shifts do not need to be consecutive.

Team Member Expectations

  • Shift length – each Team Member shift is three (3) hours.
  • Consign – you must be a consignor to help as a Team Member during the sale.
  • Set-up – organizing sale items, helping/checking in consignors and getting our sale floor ready for the big sale!
  • Sales Floor – assisting the cashier at the register, straighten racks, helping shoppers and assisting with security at the front door checking bags/strollers as they leave.
  • After the sale – You will be helping us sort our unsold items into consignor pick up piles and prepare our donated items.
  • Cancellations – If you need to cancel or reschedule your shift, we ask that you call or email us at least 24 hours before your shift or as soon as possible to let us know. Team Members who do not notify us of a cancellation will not be allowed to register as a team member for the next season’s sale. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in to place to maintain a high quality sale.
  • Children – For their own safety, children are not allowed during team member shifts. It is a very busy time and it is too difficult to watch out for little ones while we are preparing for the sale.

Spread the Word

We will give you a Pre-Sale pass if you have a school, sports club, dance school, daycare, etc. where you can pass out our sale flyers.
Please share the following flyers & handouts with your friends, family, schools, sports teams, colleagues, etc. The more we all spread the word, the more successful our sale can be.

*Post 5 flyers at dance school, daycare, restaurants, etc. (with permission). Then email us with the names of those locations and you will receive a pass to our Thursday night Pre-Sale!

*Pass out 50 bookmarks at schools, daycares, dance classes, etc. (with permission). Then email us with the name of the organization(s) and location and you will receive a pass to our Thursday night Pre-Sale!  Email Dawn to receive the bookmarks at info@capekidstreasures.com.

Media

We will give you a Pre-Sale pass if you can help put us in contact with any print, TV or radio media who can cover our sale. Please contact us with information and ideas.

Fundraiser

Cape Kids’ Treasures can help your favorite organizations including school, mom’s club, preschool, church, non-profit group and sports teams raise money!

Here’s how it works:

  • Your members donate items for the sale.
  • Your organization specifies a coordinator who registers as a “Consignor”.
  • We will supply a flyer so you can reach out to your members to donate items for the sale.
  • Your group prepares, hangs and tags the items using the online tagging system and drops the items off at our location.
  • Cape Kids’ Treasures will offer your items for sale.
  • Your organization earns a check for 60% of the selling price for items sold.

**NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR TEAM MEMBERS**

You can also earn credit for 1 shift and a Team Member presale pass by delivering flyers and bookmarks to 10 designated preschools.  You must email Dawn for more detailed information at info@capekidstreasures.com.  (There are a limited number of opportunities available).

Team Member FAQs

Do I have to be a consignor in order to help as a Team Member?

Yes, effective with our March 2014 sale, you must be a consignor to help at the sale.

What will I receive in exchange for helping as a Team Member?

All Team Members who work at least one 3 hour shift will be admitted to shop the Team Member VIP Pre-Sale, this is the first chance to shop! In addition consignors will earn an additional percentage of their sales (5% for each 3-hour shift worked). Please see our Team Member page for more details.

May I bring my children with me during my shift?

No.  For their own safety, children are not allowed during Team Member shifts. It is a very busy time and can be a dangerous place for little ones. It is too difficult to watch out for little ones while we are preparing for the sale.

What if I need to cancel my shift?

If you must cancel your shift, we ask that you call or email us to let us know at least 24 hours before your shift.  In the event a Team Member does not notify us of a cancelled shift, he/she will not be allowed to participate in a future sale.
